Bicycles

A bit of a mix here.... My daughters bike, a gift from Santa a few years back, but hasn't been ridden a while...far too cold for her!

The boys spend most of their time on their motor bikes, enjoy riding through the mud!!

And a miniature, under my lemon-scented Darwinia.

Took this on the way to the gym this morning and let me tell you it was B******** freezing.

Spikey Bridge

'Spikey Bridge' built back in the 1840's by convicts. This bridge is no longer used, but is a popular tourist spot here on the east coast of Tassie.

I LOVE RAIN

but when I need to go to work I have roads like this to travel on.............they sure do make me go uurrrr...........(and sometimes all over the road and off it too but we won't go there)

this kangaroo would make me go UURRRRR if he jumped out in front of me and I hit him when driving along..............thankfully I saw him with plenty of time and he moved off out of my way..........he is very dark this guy............

B&W Challenge

A spider in its web, in Black and White has definately made the web stand out more! Spikey Bridge...a convict built bridge, a few minutes drive from where I live. I will share some more pics in the bridge challenge

Shadows.....

shadows - this weeks photo challenge.....I am ahead....just........

while I was sitting on a cage in the chook yard watching my new chooks i looked down and saw these great patterns......made by the wire and mesh on the cage.......

then I was sitting looking at my coffee table with the beautiful sun flowing in and I saw this cool shadow.........

the roses are nearly done but you just have to LOVE roses..........and they still smell gorgeous..........

Birds

I have missed a couple of weeks but birds is an easy one for me.
A quick walk to the lake and this is what I see.

more birds.....gulahs..........

hundreds of birds eating some spilt grain..........

all is good until you disturb them and the all take off..........here is the first few leaving .........it is amazing to see and they make quite a noise when they all take off together..............

they all swirl around in the sky.........

until some settle in a tree close by...........such a pretty pink.............

this is the ugly lot..........top know pigeons and apostle birds..........

I got up to a few metres away............they usually take off pretty quick.........they love the berry type things left from the crepe myrtle flowers...........sometimes I get rosella in eating them too....
